Baby.

This is my solo UX conceptual project,
is a mobile app designed to assist new parents
in tracking their baby's daily life, growth, and development.

New Parents = Stressed + Restless + Memory Loss + Pure Happiness + Unconditional Love + Endless Cuddles.

Learn from the Best!

Analyzing the similar concept from the existing app to strengths and weaknesses has been invaluable.
I valued this process as it always helps in sparking creative solutions for the future.

Know the Users

To understand the needs of new parents and caregivers, I conducted 5 interviews with parents, nannies and grandparents.

Now we know …

  • ~90% Parents required a quick and simple method for logging daily activities.

  • ~ 60 % Real-time synchronization between multiple caregivers was essential.

  • ~ 70 % Visual data representation helped in understanding patterns and development.

  • ~ 50 % Pediatricians valued organized, easy-to-read data during consultations.

Mihaila

32 years old, a new mom, works in tech:
Mihaila needs a simple way to track her baby’s daily activities and growth while balancing her busy schedule.

"My brain is fried!
Juggling a demanding tech job and a new baby is a nightmare.
I can't seem to find the time to even breathe, let alone manage the nanny's schedule."

Angelica need an easy way to record her baby's daily routine, milestones, and share pictures with the parents who like to keep track of her baby's development.

Sleepless New Dad

It makes things difficult for both the baby and myself."

Design Process

I chose the Double Diamond design process for this project because I wanted to experiment directly with real users. Since I don't have a team, I prioritize valuing user feedback and delving deeply into their pain points. After gathering enough insights, I discover potential solutions, iterate on them, and then go back to the users for further feedback.

It might take a while to reach perfection, but I fully trust and prioritize my users' voices in every step.

Logging activities in real-time reduces the chance of forgetting details or relying on unreliable memory, especially for sleep-deprived parents.

Sharing Options

The sharing feature facilitates clear and efficient communication between parents and care givers. Parents can easily share updates and concerns, while providers can share instructions and recommendations directly through the app.

So, how do you think about this concept?
