I am sharing my design thinking process as a UX designer in Protothon Challenge.
I created Melola.
I created Melola.
I created Melola.
Melola is an app concept that leverages AI to help users cope with grief and loss by reviving cherished memories in 28 hours.
Started with a Nightmare!
Started with a Nightmare!
Started with a Nightmare!
It was sparked by a personal desire to explore how technology could potentially preserve memories and connections with loved ones, even after they are gone.
No team, No time : This lone wolf went wild!
I turned to TikTok for fastest, rawest user stories and expressions of grief. This research revealed a core truth of many people seek ways to integrate it into their lives and find joy again.
How might we utilize AI to recreate and enhance personalized memories for people in grief, helping them move forward and find joy in their lives again?

Voice Resurrection & AI Lip Sync: This feature allows users to import voice recordings of loved ones and leverage AI technology to enhance clarity and animate a video of them speaking.
Personalized Memory Recreation: Users can upload photos or videos, which are then processed by AI to generate realistic backgrounds and enhance existing objects within the memory.
Multi-Sensory Integration (Optional): Melola can partner with scent delivery apps to provide personalized aromas that further enhance the immersive experience.
VR/AR Integration (Future Development): Future iterations could incorporate VR or AR technology to create a fully immersive experience where users can step back into recreated memories and potentially interact with virtual representations.
Could Melola truly heal?🤔
I wasn’t sure.

Remember?
Remember?
But Remember?

The mission was to create a prototype.
What next?
What next?
What next?
Despite the time constraints, I managed to complete a high-fidelity, clickable prototype within 28 hours (including 4 hours of sleep).
This experience solidified my desire to continue developing Melola as a personal project.
Move on!
While I may not have won the competition, I had so much fun! I'm certain that Melola has the potential to provide a solution for both myself and others coping with grief.
